Wheat...West coast wheat markets came out of the extended weekend on a
weaker note against declining futures, but holding above week-ago levels.
Export bids rolled to the respective May futures contracts, which pulled

more normal winter-like conditions this week, with many areas reporting
fresh snow cover.
Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed U.S. exports focused on
movement of row crops last week, with loadings of wheat coming in at 13.7
million bushels. This places year-to-date wheat shipments at 650 million
bushels, with is running nearly 19% ahead of a year ago. Hard red winter
was the top mover with 4.5 million bushels, followed by soft white wheat
with 3.5 million and hard red spring at 2.2 million. West coast exporters
shipped 7.2 million bushels of wheat, going mostly to Japan, along with
20.5 million bushels of corn and 9.7 million of soybeans.
